Frances Blair, 95
Ms. Frances Opal Blair, 95, of Clovis, a bookkeeper, died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2003, at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis.
She was born on Oct. 5, 1907, in Portales, to Nathan B. and Mabel E. Daniels Lea.
She lived in Clovis most of her life where she worked as a bookkeeper for different department stores.
She was preceded in death by a son, Dr. Jerry Blair; a brother, William Lea; and by her parents.
She is survived by a daughter, Jane Mount of Las Cruces; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Father John Rollinson will officiate the services.
Cremation has taken place.

Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis. Services are at 11 a.m. Friday at Mission Garden of Memories in Clovis.
Arthur Coleman, 71
Mr. Arthur Franklin Coleman, 71, of Capitan, died Monday, Aug. 18, 2003, at his home.
He was born on Nov. 21, 1931, to Ed and Velma Coleman.
He grew up in Arch and served in the Army from 1950 until 1952 during the Korean Conflict. He married Katherine Davis on June 1, 1956, in Arch. He moved to Capitan in 1979 from Portales. He worked for Capitan Schools in maintenance and was a custodian for more than 14 years. He also worked for the Swiss Chalet for 10 years until retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Irene Marr; a grandson, Robert Heard; and a granddaughter, Amber Coleman.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Andrew Coleman (and wife, Gladys) and Lee “Shotgun” Coleman (Susan); a daughter, Julia Hobbs (Jerry); 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.
The Rev. Bill Jones will officiate the services.
Arrangements are by LaGrone Funeral Chapel of Ruidoso. Services are at 2 p.m. Friday at LaGrone Funeral Chapel in Ruidoso.
Juanita Wright, 77
Mrs. Juanita Blanche Wright, 77, of Portales, died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2003, at Roosevelt General Hospital in Portales.
She was born on Nov. 13, 1925, in Mobeetie, Texas, to James Willard and Nona Belle Lea.
She lived in Texas as a child moving to New Mexico as a teenager. She attended school at the old Portales Junior High School. She married Johnny Martin Creed Wright in February of 1947 in Clovis. They made their home in House. After the death of Mr. Wright in 1977, she moved back to Portales. She was a homemaker and child care provider for a great number of children over the years. Family members said she loved to crochet ripple-stitch afghans and made hundreds of afghans during her lifetime.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, Vernon, Isaac and Kenneth Lea; and an infant son.
She is survived by a daughter, Caryol Wright of Portales; a granddaughter, Lanona Kobernick of Pampa, Texas; two great-grandchildren, Destiny and Savannah Kobernick, both of Pampa, Texas; and a brother, Emery Lea of Albuquerque.
The Rev. Dick Ross will officiate the services.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society.
