In addition to helping with funds for various activities, students can earn prizes based on the number of items they sell.
The old junior high gym will be used in the movie Believe in Me. Dianne Parker from central office sent a memo about the need for extras in the stands for the ball game scenes. Parents and students need to call the Chamber of Commerce to sign up. People need to dress in the 50s style. Students may look at some old junior high yearbooks to see just what those styles include.
The girls and coaches have a week of travel as they head to Clovis three times and once to Ruidoso. Monday the seventh and eighth grade “A” teams play Gattis. Laura DeBusk, one of the sponsors of FCA, invites all students to participate in this organization. “It’s not just for athletes,” DeBusk said. “It’s for all of God’s children.” DeBusk, Teri Thatcher, Ginger Golden, and Ann Marie Bucksath are planning a year of activities, fellowship, and learning. Call the junior high at 356-8578 for more information. Meeting times will be announced.
