Upcoming Events
• The school board will meet Monday at 7 p.m. in the main office. The public is welcome to attend any School Board meeting.
• Standards assessments for all Juniors are Nov. 16 and 17.
• Thanksgiving Holidays will be Nov. 24-28. School will resume Nov. 29.

• The state six-man football title game between Floyd and Melrose is set for this weekend.
• Basketball practices have begun. A junior high tournament will be held Nov. 18-20 in Melrose for the junior high Girls and Boys.

Salute to Veteran’s essay contest
Presentations for the Veteran’s essay contest will be on Nov. 12 at 6:30 p.m. For more information, contact any teacher.

Junior Carnival
The school reports that this year’s Junior Carnival was a huge success. The winner of the Pumpkin Carving Contest was fifth-grader Michelle Miller. Winner for the costume contest were: for the Elementary, a tie between Gabbi Banister and Sophia Valdez; for Middle school, Casey Kropf.

From the office
The office reports that all Floyd schools are right on track and are having a great year so far. The students are doing a great job and should keep it up!
