No business like show business
The Elida High School drama department will be presenting its first dinner show on Thursday. Members of the Student Council will be hosting a buffet-style spaghetti dinner at 6 p.m., which will be followed by the performance of a theatrical comedy entitled “Wanted: One Groom.”
Admission for attending the dinner theater is $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12. All proceeds go to the Student Council in support of non-profit events at Elida Municipal Schools. Everyone is welcome to attend.
 
Rescheduled game
Elida’s first junior high/ninth-grade basketball game has been rescheduled from Tuesday to Monday and the first varsity game is on Friday, here against Lovington.

FCCLA meeting
A New Mexico FCCLA regional meeting was held in Ruidoso on Monday. The following Elida students were in attendance: Aaron Roberts, Ever Varela, Brandy Hudson, Quentin Griffin and, Audra Turner.  Workshops included:  “Turn Off the Violence,” “After Graduation, Then What?” and “Stop the Violence.”
