Local swimmers fifth in league meet

ALBUQUERQUE — The Portales-based Eastern New Mexico Aquatics swim team finished fifth out of 13 teams in the Rio Grande League Championship Feb. 12-13 at Kirtland Air Force Base.
ENMA’s Joel Holloway earned high-point honors in the 15-and-older age group and qualified for the USA Swimming zone championships in August in Salt Lake City.
Annamoriah Holloway was second in points in the 15-and-older division, Enoch Holloway finished third in the 11-12 division and Elias holloway was fourth in the 13-14 division.
Joel, Enoch and Annamoriah Holloway and Leslie Tay are representing the club in this weekend’s USA Swimming state meet in Los Alamos. The competition began on Friday and runs through today.
