Upcoming events
• Spring Break is this week. School will resume March 28.

The 55th Annual Floyd Lion’s Club Jamboree will be Thursday through Sunday in the old Gym. Thursday evening will be classic country music, Friday and Saturday will be contemporary country, and Sunday will be gospel music. Also:
• Booster Club is running the concession stand and selling raffle tickets for a quilt all three nights.
• The Floyd Quilters will also be raffling a quilt. Money for it will go for a scholarship the quilters give each year.
• The Floyd senior class will be hosting an dnchilada dinner Thursday night from 5:30 until 7 p.m.
The Lions will be giving away a musical instrument on each of the three nights to three selected students that entered an essay contest.

Baseball: Monday’s home game against Texico on Monday has been cancelled. The first home game will be April 6.
Track: High School Boys and Girls, Thursday at Carrizozo for the Grizzly Bear Relays. Bus departs at 10:30am, meet starts at 3 p.m.

Yearbooks are still on sale. They are $30 until April 8, and $38 after that.

Child find
The Floyd preschool is having a child find April 15 from 8 a.m. until noon. Children who will be four years old by Sept. 1 and are interested in attending our five-day preschool program should bring immunization records, birth certificate, and social security card. Screenings are also available for any child from birth through five years of age. There will be no preschool on this day.
