Charlotte Pergeson
Services: 2 p.m. (CST) Monday at the New Sulphur Free Will Baptist Church in Prairie Grove, Ark.

Charlotte Fern Pergeson, 64, of Prairie Grove, Ark., died Friday, Nov. 25, 2005, at her residence.

She was born Jan. 6, 1941, in Oklahoma City, Okla., to David Woodrow and Marguerite Fern Hadley Welch.

She was a member of the Nazarene Church in Tatum where she served as treasurer. She was also a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Portales, the New Sulphur Free Will Baptist Church near Prairie Grove, Ark., the Skyhill Women Club in Cone Hill and the VFW Women’s Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Eddie Phillips Jr. and James Melvin Pergeson; and a brother, Billy Kay Welch.

Survivors include her husband, Melvin Melton Pergeson; two sons, Donald Wayne Pergeson of Prairie Grove, Ark., and Eric Shawn Pergeson of Springdale, Ark; four daughters, Becky Louise Beggs of Lovington, Kathy Lynn Hall and Marjorie May Sparks, both of Prairie Grove, Ark., and Roxanne Lee Powell of Hope; a brother, David Edward Welch of Blanchard, Okla.; a sister, Sharon Louise Cherry of McCloud, Okla.; 23 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Brother Glen Faulkner will officiate.

Pallbearers are Ryan Hall, Michael Pergeson, Elvis Phipps, David Cook, Billy Dobbs, Charlie Anderson, Berry Dobbs and Stan Anderson.

Honorary pallbearers are Jeff Beggs, Steven Beggs, Wayman Dearing, Ray Dobbs, Daryl Dobbs, Fred Hall and Bryan Dobbs.

Arrangements are by Luginbuel Funeral Home of Prairie Grove, Ark.

Bethal “Betty” Ball
Services: 2 p.m. Monday at Portales Cemetery.

Bethel Wanda “Betty” Ball, 83, of Portales died Friday, Nov. 25, 2005, at Heartland Continuing Care Center in Portales.
She was born March 11, 1922, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Theodore E. and Aggie Inez Ruckman Drummond. She married Benjamin Franklin Ball on May 25, 1957, in Lovington.

She was a homemaker and a member of First Assembly of God in Portales.

She is preceded in death by her husband and parents.

She is survived by a daughter, Shirley I. Lee of Portales; two grandchildren, Brenda R. Lee and Paul Edward Lee, both of Portales; and a great-grandchild, Gevyn Rasco of Portales.

George Smith wil officiate services.

Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home.
