Dora News
Weather turns cold
Someone must have left the gate open wide up north, at least we have had a lot of cold and breezy days.

Bible study travels
The Dora Baptist ladies Bible class visited with a shut-in member for Bible study time Sunday. Mary Blakeley, Norma Cummings and Charlie Carmichael went down to her home for about an hour.
Lillie Bell Toombs and Migdon Cox had family members in their homes celebrating the Christmas feast early

Church dinner welcomes guests
There were several visitors at morning worship Sunday at Dora Baptist Church. The younger children put on the program in Jesus honor. The guests stayed for the feast and fellowship that followed.

School out today
Dora schools were busy this week with finals. Schools let out for the holidays at 3:45 today. Class is back in session Jan. 5. Report cards will be issued when students return.

Youth to present program
The Dora Baptist youth group will present its Christmas program this Sunday at the morning worship hour. There will be no night worship service so all can have a family time together.

Upcoming Events
Seniors will meet Thursday at the Floyd Senior Citizens Center for games and fellowship. Pot luck is at 6 p.m. and games begin at 7 p.m.

School out for holidays
School is out for the holidays classes will resume Jan. 3.

Thompsons celebrating 60th anniversary
The children and grandchildren of Clarence and Letha Thompson would like to invite their family and friends to a celebration of their 60th wedding anniversary. The gathering will be from 2-4 p.m. Dec. 31 at Third and Kilgore Church of Christ. The family requests no gifts.

Church News
There will be no services this Sunday at the Floyd Baptist Church.

Members of the Floyd Methodist Church are in the process of updating their history book. Items needed are pictures, articles, and stories from 1970 to the present. If you have any of these you would like to contribute, please contact Sherry Fahrenkrug at 478-2574.
