Former Greyhound Brandon Wickware will be joining the Amarillo Dusters in March for training camp.
“Wickware put up great pass rushing numbers, but did it mostly as an interior defensive linemen. That says a lot about his motor and aggressiveness,” Dusters General Manager Warren McCarty said.
The 6-foot-3, 290 pound Wickware is a native of Floydada, Texas and was a three-year starter on the defensive line at Eastern New Mexico University from 2002-2004. He earned All-Conference honors in 2003 and 2004. He notched 89 tackles, 18 tackles for losses, and 7 sacks in his career at ENMU.
“Brandon came to us with great stats and great recommendations,” Dusters head coach Steve Perdue said. “He’s a Texas Panhandle guy and he is hungry. Jas as important is the fact that he’s a good person and he wants to be an impact player for us on and off the field.”
