A Monday night accident in Portales sent two people to the hospital, according to police reports.
The accident occurred about 10 p.m. at the intersection of 14th Street and South Avenue D. Portales Fire Department responded to the scene to extricate Toni Wood of Portales from the 2000 GMC pickup she was driving. Both Wood and her passenger Paula Johnson, no address listed, were transported to Roosevelt General Hospital.
A Portales hospital official said both were transferred to a Lubbock hospital, but no additional information was released.
