A 47-year-old Portales resident died Thursday in a Lubbock hospital a day after being injured in an auto accident in Littlefield, according to a news release from Eastern New Mexico University Information Services.
Kimberly Lutnesky, 47, was the wife of ENMU professor Marv Lutnesky, according to the ENMU release.
Lutnesky was attempting to turn around at an intersection of East Loop 430 and U.S. 84 in Littlefield at approximately 3:30 p.m. Wednesday when the sport utility vehicle she was driving collided with a semi-truck, according to a Littlefield Police Department spokesperson.
Lutnesky was airlifted directly to a Lubbock hospital with unspecified injuries, according to the spokesperson.
No citations were issued, according to the police report.
