A Clovis man sought by police for harboring a homicide suspect turned himself in to police around noon Friday, Clovis Police Capt. Patrick Whitney said.

Friday afternoon Ivan Vasquez was being booked at the Curry County Adult Detention Center. Once booked, jail officials said he would be released on an appearance bond.

The 48-year-old is charged with a felony count of harboring a felon, court records show.

According to police reports, Vasquez told police he allowed homicide suspect Albert Ramirez to stay with him for three days while law enforcement searched for the 18-year-old. He told police he felt sorry for the youth.

Ramirez is charged with first-degree murder in connection with the July 12 shooting death of 39-year-old Eladio Robledo, the boyfriend of Ramirez’s mother.
