Aug. 19, 2007 Court Dispositions

The following dispositions were recently filed in the Roosevelt County Courthouse:
• Lorenzo Jasso, 30, pleaded guilty to the charges of Count 1: Forgery and Count 10: Embezzlement ($2500), was ordered to serve three years supervised probation, and pay restitution.
• Alex F. Valdivia, 37, pleaded no contest to the charges of Count 1: driving while under the influence of intoxicating liquor, (fifth offense), and Count 2: driving while license suspended or revoked, was ordered to serve two years in the department of corrections, one year supervised probation, enter into and successfully complete any alcohol/substance abuse program as recommended, and pay court fees and fines.
• Michael Encinias, 22, pleaded guilty to the charges of Count 1: Possession of a firearm or destructive device by a felon, and Count 3: possession of drug paraphernalia, was ordered to serve 18 months probation, enter into and successfully complete any recommended counseling, and pay court fees and fines.
• Oscar Lopez-Gutierrez, 36, pleaded guilty to the charges of Count 1: trafficking of a controlled substance, to wit: methamphetamine, was ordered to serve four years in the department of corrections, five years supervised probation, undergo substance abuse screening and follow any recommended treatment, and pay court fees and fines.
• Samuel C. Offutt, 36, pleaded guilty to the charges of Count 1 -31 fraud by worthless check, was ordered to serve two years in the department of corrections, five years supervised probation, pay restitution, and court fees and fines.
