Time on the Job: Starting her fourth year in business.

Background: Before opening her business, Craig drove a school bus and did substitute teaching.

Q. Describe what your job entails?
A. Taking care of dogs and cats, cutting hair, looking for critters (fleas and ticks).

Q. What is a typical day on the job like for you?
A. Fun and wet. It’s like having grandchildren —you get to play with them and spoil them and send them home.

Q. Why did you choose this profession?
A. I didn’t, it chose me. It started out as a conversation and ended up as the best move I’ve ever made in my life.

Q. What type of training do you need for your job?
A. Hands-on learning, that’s how I started out.

Q. What do you enjoy most about your job?
A. Everything, I’m getting paid to play.
