Chemical society meets
The 63rd Southwest Regional Meeting of the American Chemical Society was held Nov. 4-7 in Lubbock.
The following ENMU faculty and students gave presentations at the meeting:
Newton P. Hilliard hosted a workshop on Building a Low-Cost Chemistry Laboratory
James P. Finley gave an oral presentation on Alternatives to Kohn-Sham Density Functional Theory
Robert D. Long gave an Oral presentation on Building Biotin-Linked Viologen Sam’s Via Combined Solution/Solid-Phase Synthesis
Jithendra Reddy Bonthu presented a Poster on Tethering Lipid Bilayers Inside Nanopores of Anodic Aluminum Oxide for Multinuclear NMR Studies
The event was attended by more than 500 academics/professionals from regional institutions and other states outside the region.
Michael F. Shaughnessy recently interviewed Bob Bowen of the Mandt Behavior System. The interview appeared on line at www.ednews.org.
Shaughnessy and Russell Eisenman have had a paper published in the Korean Journal of Thinking and Problem Solving.
