Q. Describe what your job entails.
A. Operate the movies, sell tickets, sell concessions, set up special movies for groups, tons and tons of paperwork, all of the ordering, payroll, hiring, inventory, taking care of the building and making sure everything is working properly, make sure employees are doing what they are supposed to be doing, and customer service is number one.
Q. What is a typical day on the job like for you?
A. It’s usually pretty good. Most of the time it’s slow enough we can get things done, other times it’s busy and the time goes by fast.
Q. Why did you choose this job?
A. I chose this job because I knew it would be less stressful than other jobs, though we do have stressful situations. It’s a good environment to work in.
Q. What type of training do you need for your job?
A. I had no training, I was self taught. I started out in concessions and was kinda thrown into the position. You have to know how to operate a ticket machine and cash register, make popcorn, count and run the projectors.
Q. What do you enjoy most about your job?
A. I like working with my employees, I’ve got a really good group, and also working with other managers in the business, plus I get to go on a free trip to the Caribbean with my bosses.
