A 23-year-old Fort Sumner gas station employee is accused of having sexual relations with several underage girls over the last year, according to a New Mexico State Police press release.
Phillip Delgadillo is charged with 13 counts of criminal sexual penetration of a minor, attempted sexual penetration of a minor, enticement of a child, kidnapping/abduction, intimidation of a witness and other related offenses, the release said.
He was arrested March 22, according to Peter Olson, state police communications director. Additional charged were filed Monday, Olson said.
The victims are 13 to 16 years old, the release said.
State Police were notified March 21 by school personnel, who became concerned when they learned about stories of criminal sexual activity, the release said.
Fort Sumner schools Superintendent Patricia Miller did not return a call seeking comment.
During the investigation, state police have identified several eighth-grade victims, the release said.
The victims were lured into Delgadillo’s car, and in some cases their own homes, where he asked for or had sex with the girls, the release said.
Delgadillo is being held at De Baca County Detention Center on a $150,000 bond, according to a detention center official.
