The Eastern New Mexico men’s rodeo team finished their regular season with four members qualifying for the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyo.
Jared Green, placed fourth in bareback riding at the Tarleton State Rodeo, at Stephenville, Texas.
With a score of 150 at the TSU rodeo, Green is now ranked second in the region in bareback and bronc riding. This will be the first year that Green will participate in the CNFR.
“I am really excited to be heading to the Finals,” Green said. “This is my last year to be able to compete in the finals. I missed competing in the finals as a freshman by a few points. The last two years I went through two shoulder surgeries that kept me out of the competition.”
Also qualifying for the rodeo finals was third-ranked steer wrestler Cody Heck, and team ropers, Kyle Roberts and Tyrell Flewelling.
The CNFR is June 15-21.
