Hall of Honors Gala to be held

Homecoming 2008 marks the first ENMU Educators Hall of Honors Gala on Saturday.

The event begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Campus Union Ballroom, with dinner served at 7 p.m. Free tickets will be mailed to honorees and special guests. For all other guests, the cost is $15 per person.

Advance tickets can be requested by calling Cheryl Reeves at 562-2443.

The new ENMU Educators Hall of Honors Awards will be presented along with musical entertainment. Seating is limited.

United Way drive nears goal

ENMU employees have raised $17,210 in contributions and pledges for United Way.

The university has a goal of $20,000.

Parking eliminated

Parking along U.S. 70 is no longer allowed. For safety reasons, the New Mexico Department of Transportation has eliminated all parking along U.S. 70.

Professor will host seminar

Chien-an Andy Hu, associate professor from the School of Medicine at the University of New Mexico, has been invited to give a seminar titled “Personalized Medicine in Cancer Therapeutics” from 3-4 p.m. Nov. 3 in Room 108 of the Science Building.

The presentation is free and open to the public.

The seminar is sponsored by the ENMU Chapter of Sigma Xi, the international Scientific Research Society.
