The following is a sampling of calls placed to Portales police dispatchers over the past week:

Nov. 10

• At 1:35 a.m., a caller advised of a suspicious male subject who came into his store on North Main Street asking suspicious questions.

• At 4:30 p.m., a caller stated that she received a counterfeit $100 bill at her business on North Chicago.

• At 11:21 p.m., a caller advised that four or five guys were trying to get into his back door at his home on South Roosevelt Road O.

Nov. 11

• At 12:11 p.m., a caller advised of a suspicious male subject in the area of N.M. 80. The caller said the subject came to her door asking for a cigarette, and the caller requested an officer.

• At 8:55 a.m., a caller stated someone had spray painted on the walls of the restroom at a nearby rest area and had stolen items from the property near N.M. 70.

• At 12:45 p.m., a caller reported that he changed the lock on his rental property near South Avenue F and someone broke in.

• At 2:47 p.m., a caller reported a broken window and said the subject left town in a green Eclipse.

• At 10:05 p.m., a caller reported an assault on North Avenue A.

• At 9:46 a.m., a caller reported that she returned home on South Roosevelt Road 4 Lane and had an open door.

• At 4:54 p.m., a caller reported slashes on her car bumper near her home on East Spruce.

The following dispositions have been filed in Roosevelt County District Court:

• William Lovato, 36, was found guilty of aggravated driving under the influence of liquor (third offense) and was sentenced to 60 days in the Roosevelt County Detention Center, supervised probation of one year following release, 96 hours of community service, having an ignition interlock device installed and paying all court fines and fees.

• Samuel De La Cruz, 28, pleaded no contest to charges of driving while license was suspended or revoked, and child abuse. The defendant was sentenced to two years of supervised probation and must pay all court fines and fees.

• David Bumgardner, 25, pleaded guilty to the charges of possession of marijuana-one ounce or less (first offense) and use or possession of drug paraphernalia. He was sentenced to 358 days of supervised probation, attending ASPEN program and paying all court fines and fees.

• Nazario Ortega, 25, pleaded guilty to the charges of forgery-issuing or transferring $2,500 or less, and fraudulent acts to obtain rented property. He was sentenced to one year of supervised probation and must pay all court fines and fees.

• Gregory Dowdy, 39, pleaded guilty to the charge of driving while under the influence of intoxicating liquor or any drug (fourth offense). He was sentenced to two years in the Department of Corrections and must pay all court fines and fees.

There were no dispositions given in Roosevelt County Magistrate Court.
