• Attila Hertelendy, director of the Emergency Medical Service Management Program, had his abstract titled “Has the proportion of EMS-related research authored by paramedics changed over the last 10 years?” accepted by the Prehospital Care Research Forum at the University of California-Los Angeles for both oral and poster presentation at the annual EMS Today Conference in Baltimore in March.

• Chris Taylor, assistant professor in the College of Business, and his writing partner, Nelson Barber of Texas Tech University, have been awarded a contract from Pearson Publishing to write a textbook titled Creating, Operating and Managing a Beverage Operation, to be published by January 2012.
