BPA state winners

Gowan Hays — Finalist in Fundamental Spreadsheet Application; Ashlyn Myers — Finalist in Desktop Publishing; Renee Gantert — 2nd in Legal Office Procedures; Arlem Villanueva — Finalist in Database Applications; Arlem Villanueva, Jessica Fierro, Ashley Kanmore, Gowan Hays — Finalists in Administrative Support Team; Shaun Banther — Finalist in PC Servicing & Troubleshooting; Zac Teston, Calvin Taylor, Corina Servin, Savannah Dimas — 1st place Web Site Design Team; Ethan Bilbrey, Ashlyn Myers, Katlain Phillips — Finalist Team in Video Production; Santana Chavez — 1st in Interview Skills; Tori Varnell — 3rd in Prepared Speech; Jordon McConnell — 1st in Presentation Management, Individual; Kelsi King — 1st, Tori Varnell — 2nd, Jordon McConnell & Molly McAlister — Finalists in Parliamentary Procedure Concepts; Kelsi King, Tori Varnell, Molly McAlister, Chelsea Gantert, Jordon McConnell, Jordan Inge, Deserai Haraughty, and Stefanie Neuhaus — 1st place team, Parliamentary Procedures. Fifteen students will advance to the BPA National Leadership Conference in Dallas in May.

FFA pratice schedule

• Monday – Dairy, 4-8 p.m.

• Tuesday – Crops, 4-7 p.m.

• Wednesday – Livestock, 4-7 p.m.

• Thursday – Entomology, 4-7 p.m.; Dairy Foods, 5-8 p.m.

• Friday – Land/Homesite, 9 a.m. – Noon; Pasture, 1-5 p.m.

• Saturday – Contest at Carrizozo; teams leave Dora at 3:00 a.m.

End of grading period

The third nine-week grading period ends Thursday.
