Clovis schools planning growth meetings

Clovis Municipal Schools is planning three meetings to address plans for dealing with the expected growth from Cannon Air Force Base, according to a news release.

Current recommendations from the Facilities Master Plan and Growth Committee include building a third middle school and moving sixth grade students into the middle schools.

The new middle school would cost and estimated $30 million.

The meetings will serve as a forum where parents and community members will have the opportunity to communicate with school officials about the plans for growth.

Meetings schedule:

• 6 p.m., Wednesday, Marshall Middle School Library

• 6 p.m., Thursday, Yucca Middle School Library

• 6 p.m., March 30, Clovis High School Lecture Hall
