Sewing, peanuts featured

By Sheryl Borden: Creative Living

Information on sewing with sergers, making homemade peanut butter and the history of grandfather clocks will be the featured topics on “Creative Living” at noon Tuesday and at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Sewing instructor Nancy Lovett explains that most sergers are capable of flatlocking, which can be done with either two or three-thread machines. Not only is a flatlock seam durable, but it can also be very decorative. Lovett represents Ann Silva’s Bernina Sewing Center in Albuquerque.

Everything you’ve ever wanted to know about peanuts and peanut production will be covered by Gayle Stephenson, spokesperson for the Texas Peanut Producers Board in Lubbock.
