ENMU sprinter sets mark

ALBUQUERQUE — Eastern New Mexico University track athletes Kyle Harris and Tyler Anderson had strong outings Saturday in the Tailwind Invitational track meet, hosted by the University of New Mexico.

Competing against largely Division I competition, Harris, a junior, earned a provisional qualifying mark for the NCAA Division II national outdoor meet in May with a mark of 48-0 3/4 in triple jump, meaning he could be selected for the event depending on how mnay others qualify.

Meantime, Anderson set a school record in the 200 with a time of 21.87 seconds.

ENMU’s next track outing is April 30 in the Abilene Christian Invitational.
