Card making featured on show

Information on attaining your goals, making gifts and gift wraps, and card making will be the featured topics on “Creative Living” on Tuesday at 9:30 p.m. and on Thursday noon.

Lance Heft is a businessman, author and entrepreneur and has written a book titled “Your Turn to Win.” He will talk about his ideas and suggestions for reaching your goals, and explain how he came to write this self-help program and book. Heft lives in Collegeville, PA.

Mary Mertens will show how to use basic sewing skills to make some creative and imaginative gifts and gift wraps, which will make any present even more special. Her company is Ticche and Bea in Chicago, IL.

Evelyn Terhune is the owner of Ozark Crafts in Gilbert, AR., and she will show how to make cards using parchment paper. She explains that this craft is very popular in the Netherlands and in Canada, too.

Information on Asian cooking, cooking with spices, and incorporating pecans in breakfast recipes will be the featured topics on “Creative Living” Tuesday at noon and Saturday 2 p.m.

Kathy Moore, home economist with Williams Foods., Inc. in Lenexa, KS., will demonstrate Asian cooking using convenience foods.

Cookbook author, Marcie Rothman will demonstrate how to spice up food, as well as share some fast cooking techniques. Her company is Five-Spot Press and she’s from San Diego, CA.

Ann Cox will demonstrate a variety of breakfast recipes that incorporate nutritious, delicious pecans. Cox represents the Texas Pecan Growers in College Station, TX.
