The following cases were closed in the Roosevelt County Magistrate Court from Dec. 22 to Jan. 7.

Dec. 22

• Olivia Anchondo, 35, was found guilty of abandonment of a child. She was sentenced to 364 days, with 264 days suspended; 364 days supervised probation; complete a course aimed at addressing child care issues; and pay court cost, fines and fees of $67

Jan. 4

• Julian Castillo, 50, was found guilty of aggravated driving while under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs (2nd), no insurance and open container. Castillo was sentenced to 364 days, with 356 suspended; two years supervised probation; attend ASPEN program; complete a alcohol/drug screening; 48 hours of community service; have a ignition interlock device installed on all motor vehicles; and pay court cost, fines and fees of $968

Jan. 5

• Alexander Montiel, 18, was found guilty of driving while under the influence of intoxicating liquor/drugs (1st). He was sentenced to 90 days suspended; one year supervised probation; attend ASPEN program; complete DWI school; alcohol/drug screening; 48 hours of community service; and pay court cost, fines and fees of $221

• Danny Jones, 23, was found guilty of battery against a household member. He was sentenced to 364 days suspended; two years supervised probation; attend ASPEN program; and pay court cost, fines and fees of $126

• Danny Jones, 23, was found guilty of possession of marijuana less than one ounce(1st), possession of drug paraphernalia and expired plates. He was sentenced to 15 days suspended; 15 days supervised probation; attend ASPEN program; alcohol/drug screening; 364 days supervised probation for possession of drug paraphernalia to run concurrent with other charges; and pay court cost, fines and fees of $437

Jan. 7

• Erica Pena, 27, was found guilty of battery. She was sentenced to six months suspended; attend ASPEN program; no contact with victim; complete anger management counseling; and pay court cost, fines and fees of $73.
