Most NM schools fail to meet AYP status

SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) — State officials say New Mexico students have improved their performance in math, reading and science during the past six years, but about three-fourths of schools missed this year’s goals for boosting student achievement.

Grady, Logan, Melrose, San Jon and Texico schools did meet AYP status, state officials said.

Clovis, Portales, Tucumcari, Dora, Floyd, Fort Sumner and House were among schools that did not meet AYP status.
