ENMU to receive funding for Hispanics

Eastern New Mexico University will receive $280,000 to help serve underserved students and develop workforce skills, according to a release from U.S. Sen. Jeff Bingaman, D-N.M.

As one of the state’s four Hispanic-serving institutions, ENMU will receive federal grants through the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture.

Between ENMU, the University of New Mexico, New Mexico State University and New Mexico Highlands University, state colleges received $1.15 million in grant monies.
