Once again, I was disappointed to not be able to make it to the university’s annual Chinese new year banquet. I actually managed to get a ticket this year and I still could not go.
The night of the event turned out to be one of those stuck at work late nights.
Last weekend also marked the 45th Annual Super Bowl and for the first time in my entire life, the Super Bowl spirit rubbed off on me.
It may have been the fact that I wrote the Super Bowl story for that weekend or it may have been the fact that I was invited to a Super Bowl party with some diehard football fans.
I’m not sure what brought on this newfound spirit, but for the first time I watched an entire football game and enjoyed doing it. Maybe one day, I’ll watch a game on an average Sunday afternoon.
This weekend is the ENMU performance The Rabbit Hole, which will be showing at 7 p.m. Friday through Sunday. Also, check out local band Borrowed Time, playing at Mark’s from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday.
