Recent cases in Roosevelt County Magistrate Court, according to court documents:
• Dominique Lucero, born in 1974, pleaded no contest to driving on a suspended license as per a plea agreement. Lucero was sentenced to four days in jail, 360 days supervised probation and $475 in fines and fees.
• David Tarango, born in 1971, pleaded guilty to driving with a revoked license and a charge of defective tail lamps was dismissed as per a plea agreement. Tarango was sentenced to 176 days in jail with pre-sentence confinement credit since Aug. 18, 2010; 188 days unsupervised probation, if deported; and $381 in fines and fees.
• Joe Mirabal, born in 1986, pleaded no contest to possession of marijuana less than 1 ounce. Mirabal was sentenced to seven days in jail, seven days unsupervised probation and $198 in fines and fees.
• Luis Garcia-Orozco, born in 1988, pleaded guilty to a second offense of DWI, racing on highways and open container, and charges of stop sign violation, no insurance, no driver license and display of registration were dismissed as per a plea agreement. Garcia-Orozco was sentenced to 90 days in jail, two years of unsupervised probation and $938 in fines and fees, with jail in lieu of fines and fees until deported.
