Reader-submitted content: Easter contest benefits children’s home

Roosevelt General Hospital employees decorated and stuffed 17 Easter baskets for an internal employee competition to benefit the Christian Children’s Home.

The RGH Physicians Clinic front desk team took home first place for their creative basket overflowing with candy, stuffed bunnies and fun.

“Every basket was a great representation of Easter and of the love our RGH family has for this county!” stated Tersa Bonifant, RGH Fun Committee co-chairwoman. “It was such a privilege to deliver the baskets and express our wishes for these children to have a wonderful Easter holiday weekend.”

The RGH Fun Committee is steered by employees with its primary focus being to always work to improve employee morale and to express our appreciation for this exceptional employee family we have, said Cindy Duncan, Fun Committee co-chairwoman.

“We are always planning our next event and seeking to honor our employees,” added Bonifant. “I’m excited to be a part of it and hope Roosevelt County residents know just how much our hospital family appreciates them.”

According to Duncan, departments chose to participate and then compiled baskets with their personally-donated Easter goodies.

“I love to see a little friendly competition amongst the departments, especially when it benefits county residents,” she added.

The Pharmacy Department took home second place honors, followed by the Business Office’s tie-dye themed basket. The other 14 entries received honorable mention.
