Five arrested on drug charges

Agents from the Curry County Sheriff’s Office, Clovis Police Department and Portales Police Department officers assigned to the Region V Drug Task Force, have reported five felony arrests from investigations that concluded this week. According to a release from the Curry County Sheriff’s Office:

Israel Reyna Jr., 45, and Christopher Reyna, 30, both of Muleshoe, were arrested Tuesday and charged with possession with intent to traffic cocaine and conspiracy to possess with intent to traffic cocaine. According to the release, the brothers were arrested en route to Clovis with more than 100 grams of cocaine.

Ricky Southern, 36, of Clovis, was arrested Tuesday and charged with trafficking methamphetamines, distribution of marijuana and felon in possession of a firearm. Also arrested was Michelle Jefferson, 41, of Clovis, and charged with trafficking methamphetamines, harboring a fugitive and a probation violation. According to the release, the two were found in a residence with 1.5 pounds of marijuana and two grams of methamphetamines.

Sergio James, 33, of Clovis, was arrested Wednesday and charged with possession of cocaine, trafficking cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. According to the release, on two separate occasions James sold crack cocaine during an undercover narcotics operation.
