Friendship Rebekah Lodge

Friendship Rebekah Lodge met Tuesday at the IOOF Hall with Vice Grand Earl Scott presiding. During the meeting Wanda Scott was elected representative with Evelyn Calder as alternate. They will represent the Lodge at the Rebekah assembly in Farmington in September Vicky Howard will be lodge deputy.

The Rebekahs will be having a garage sale June 4 at the IOOF Hall, 405 Main St. Proceeds go to support autism, assembly presidents (Serena Goar) fund raising project.

The next meeting will be June 9 and will honor deceased Oddfellows.

PRMC auxiliary

Eight Plains Regional Medical Center auxilians, Paula Johnston, Dorothy Bean, Fran Boney, Mary Kay Nabholz, Norma Nagel, Alicia Grasso, Phyllis Davidson and Helen Masters attended the District III meeting in Roswell May 14.

The meeting was called to order with the welcome and acknowledgment of PRMC by state president of the NMHA Paula Johnston, state officers and visiting auxiliaries.

Guests enjoyed a delicious lunch and were invited on a tour of the beautiful ENMMC facility.

Speakers were director of nursing at ENMMC, Dona Townsend R.N., Brian Doyle, pharmacist, and elder law attorney advocate for senior citizens Tom Dunlap, who held a question and answer session.

All in attendance enjoyed a hospitable, informative day.

RGH auxiliary

The May 18 general meeting of the Roosevelt General Hospital Auxiliary met in the conference room. After light refreshments and coffee, President Sid Phillips called the meeting to order by leading the Auxiliary Prayer.

Justin Squires received the ENMU scholarship for two semesters in the amount of $1,200 from the Auxiliary. Ashley Bonifant was granted an Educational Grant for the fall semester.

The Amendment to the Amendment passed unanimously. It will be presented to Dr. Leaming for his approval.

Rita Bickham, HIPAA privacy officer, addressed questions concerning auxiliary members who are in the hospital or ill. Members should give permission through the auxiliary president to let it be known to others.

Amber Hamilton has been appointed new director of marketing replacing Gaye Weise. Hamilton presented three possibilities for a hospital logo and will report back to the group on which was the favorite choice.

Phillips thanked Quality Sales for the many donations they make to our gift shop.

Vice President Faye Fenton presented Hours Bars to:

Mickey Zachry 100 hours; Jacqueline Turner & Rosalie Patrick 500 hours; Carl Bitton 1,000 hours; Faye Fenton 4,000 hours; Adele Breech 6,000 hours; and Wanda Martinez 8,000 hours.

The Volunteer of the Quarter Award was awarded to Mary Kay Kalin for extra work at Heartland.

Beta Phi

Five members of Beta Phi and two guests attended the meeting May 2 at the Smoking Skillet. The girls really enjoyed their lunches and the fellowship.

Collene Baldwin, Dottie Good, Laura Loflin, Patsy Lorenz, Bev Miller, Suzy Moore, June Patrick, and Rachel Wallace were in attendance.
