Monday morning briefing: Meetings watch, ENMU auction and Miranda rights

Good morning and welcome to Freedom New Mexico’s Monday briefing.

Meetings watch

Roosevelt County school boards are meeting this week. They are:

• Portales board of education, 6 p.m. Monday, Portales Municipal Schools Administration Building. The agenda includes various bid awards and an item on district-wide accreditation with North Central Association AdvancED.

• Elida board of education, 7 p.m. Tuesday, Elida High School library. The agenda includes capital projects and a vote on the sale of REC’s to Roosevelt County Electric Cooperative Inc.

• Floyd board of education, 7 p.m. Monday, Floyd High School computer lab. The agenda includes a utility update and handbook changes.

Up for sale

Eastern New Mexico University has scheduled a Surplus Inventory Auction for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 520 N. Avenue O.

The auction is open to the public, and items include vehicles and athletic equipment.
