State Senate Minority Leader Stuart Ingle, R-Portales, will be recognized by the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce with its inaugural Legislative Award for working diligently for the business community and for “fiscal leadership while making difficult fiscal decisions for New Mexico that combine both high risk and high subjectivity.”
Ingle will receive the award at the chamber’s noon Thursday board meeting at its offices at 115 Gold Avenue SW in Albuquerque.
Ingle will receive the award along with Sen. John Arthur Smith, D-Deming.
“They make decisions based on what is best for the fiscal health of the state verses political or partisan reasons,” Chamber President and CEO Terri Cole said in a release.
Ingle and Smith were also selected for a fiscal leadership award at New Mexico First Forum Spirit of Bipartisanship Awards in May.
