I had many people tell me Dairyfest was a success this weekend with a lot of food and fun games along with educational booths, such as learning how to make butter.
The improv acting show at the Lyceum Theater was a success as well, having received a lot of laughs and support both Friday and Saturday nights.
Mission Improv-able hopes to put on a show the last weekend of every month, so keep your eyes and ears open when you have a free Friday or Saturday night. And just remember, the shows are free and the donations are for a good cause.
This weekend, I look forward to taking a trip down to Roswell to check out their annual UFO festival. All the years I’ve been in eastern New Mexico and I have never attended.
There will be a battle of the bands concert, a festival barbecue, a wine festival and much more. Anyone interested in the festival, can visit the website at www.roswellufofestival.com.
Other more localized events this weekend are the two annual firework shows happening in Portales and Clovis Monday night at dusk. They will both have live music, food and fun.
