The rainiest year in Clovis’ history was 1941 with 46.91 inches falling.

Price of gas

AAA New Mexico reported Thursday the statewide average price for a gallon of gas is 11 cents below the national average.

The statewide average is $3.47 and the national average is $3.58.

The least expensive gasoline is in Albuquerque, where prices are now $3.37.

Car show

The National Collector Car Appreciation Day show is 7 p.m. today at Portales’ Downtown Square.

The event features collector cars on display and food vendors.
