The 2011 Clovis Music Festival, with the theme “The Biggest Little Music City in the World,” is planned for Sept. 8 through 11.
The music festival will be held at the Curry County Events Center Sept. 9 and 10.
Sept. 8 the festival will open at 7 p.m. with the Buddy Holly Story at Marshall Middle School Auditorium.
Concerts will be held Sept. 9 and 10, welcoming the music of Lonestar, Will Banister and the Mulberry Band, The Fireballs, The Liverpool Legends, Tommy Allsup.
The festival will close at 10 a.m. Sept. 11 with Rockin Gospel with The Fireballs and Tommy Allsup at the Norman & Vi Petty Rock & Roll Museum.
Tickets — $20 for Sept. 8 and 9 and $25 for Sept. 10 — are available for purchase from the Clovis-Curry County Chamber of Commerce.
The music festival will also include a classic car show, a Rockin Symposium and tours of the Norman & Vi Petty Studios and the Rock & Roll Museum.
