Thursday morning briefing: Scholarships, a relay and a Ford on ice

Good morning and welcome to the Freedom New Mexico Thursday briefing.

King scholarships

The annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. scholarship breakfast is 9 a.m. Saturday at the Clovis High School Cafeteria.

Cost is $10 for adults and $6 for ages 12 and under.

Tickets are at the Clovis Curry County Chamber of Commerce and the deadline for purchasing them is today.

Relay kickoff

The Melrose Relay For Life 2012 Kickoff is 6:30 p.m. Monday at Melrose School Cafeteria.

Mexican Stack Up dinners will be available for a donation and there will be a silent auction.
