My turn: Mixing up routine good for morale

I’ve found myself “getting back into the game” again with certain activities lately. I’ve started two-stepping again, playing pool, and this weekend, I’m off to the shooting range for time with my 9 millimeter gun.

It feels good to have a lot of diversity in my life again. For awhile, it felt like I was doing the same thing every day, which is never good for boosting morale in your personal life.

I enjoy a pretty wide variety of activities, so being back in the swing of reading, comedy acting, dancing, sports and other exercising has been exciting and fun.

Co-worker Christina Calloway and I had the privilege of not only singing karaoke Wednesday, but also talking one of our male friends into doing a duet with us in which he sang the role of the third female.

Next weekend, I will be looking into taking horse riding lessons at Abrazos Adventures off the Floyd highway. If anyone wants some lessons for a good price, they should give it a look.

And don’t forget to do something fun on Valentine’s Day, whether you have a significant other or not. You can’t beat a holiday that gives you an excuse to eat chocolate and watch cheesy romantic comedies.
