Friday, Feb. 24

• At 1:29 p.m., the manager of a car dealership reported a vehicle was taken from the dealership on the previous Wednesday. He said an employee had used the car, returning it at 6 p.m. that evening and returning the keys. He said other dealerships connected with theirs said they did not have it. He said he also checked with all employees. He said he was not sure when the vehicle went missing but had not been seen since the previous Wednesday. The vehicle has been placed into the law enforcement system.

• At 7:04 p.m., an officer made a traffic stop on North Avenue B for a defective headlamp. As the driver and his passenger looked for their vehicle information, the officer asked for a license, which the driver did not have. He gave the officer an identification card and told him he was supposed to have an interlock device installed but he just came from Carlsbad.

The man told the officer he had smoked some marijuana earlier in the evening then dispatch informed the officer of his suspended license. The man was arrested for driving with a suspended license then marijuana was found in his possession during the booking process. No further action was taken by the officer.
