It's a fact

Three Presidents have died on the Fourth of July: John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and James Monroe.

Kitchen tip

To ripen fruits, wrap them in newspaper and put in a warm place for 2-3 days. The ethylene gas they emit will make them ripe.

Today in history

On this day in 2005, John Paul II, history's most well-traveled pope and the first non-Italian to hold the position since the 16th century, dies at his home in the Vatican.
