An Elida man was killed Tuesday morning in a single vehicle rollover 10 miles east of Dora, according to Capt. Jimmy Glascock of the New Mexico State Police.
C.L. Roach, 78, was driving a 1999 Ford pickup just before 6 a.m. on N.M. 114 when he drifted off the road for unknown reasons and overcorrected, according to Glascock.
Roach lost control of the truck, which went off the road and rolled several times. According to Glascock, Roach was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the truck.
The accident was discovered by a passing motorist.
Roach was pronounced dead at the scene by New Mexico State Police.
