Two Roosevelt County residents were arrested Wednesday in connections with one of 11 thefts, which have been reported to the Roosevelt County Sheriff's Office in the last two months.
A press release from the sheriff's office said reports were taken for 12 burglaries, eight larcenies and one motor vehicle theft.
Jimmy Arias, 25, was arrested for a seconddegree felony charge of burglary and three misdemeanors while an 18-year-old male was arrested for possession of stolen items and conspiracy to sell stolen items.
It has not been determined whether the minor's charges will be classified as felonies or misdemeanors.
According to the press release, three prior arrests were made within the last three weeks in connection with the thefts reported.
Homer Kingston, 50, was arrested for one count of burglary, two counts of larceny and possession of Methamphetamine, all fourth degree felonies, and with one misdemeanor.
A 32-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man were also arrested for misdemeanors in connection to stolen property.
Three more arrests are pending and more suspects having been identified.
The press release said the eight arrests will clear eight of the 11 cases with sheriff's deputies recovering $3,000 worth of stolen property and the stolen motor vehicle.
The thefts were not connected to or any part of a stolen property ring, according to the release.
The sheriff's office is urging local residents with any information to contact their local law enforcement agency or Roosevelt County Crime Stoppers at 356-8100.
