Dora Rallies Past Jal

The Dora Lady Coyotes overcame a one-game deficit on Tuesday night to notch their first District 8-1A victory, a 19-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-12 decision over Jal at Dora.

Dora (8-10, 1-4 district) pulled out a tight third set on a service error by the Lady Panthers on set point, then dominated the next game for the win.

"We played really well," Dora coach Caleb King said. "(Middle hitter) Taylor Dillard had a really good game, and we passed the ball really well."

King said the Lady Coyotes began to pick up their play about midway through the first set.

Dora also took the junior varsity preliminary, beating the Lady Panthers 25-15, 24-26, 15-6.
