Empty stocking fund

• Today’s focus: Family C

• Household members: 2

• Children: 1

• Special circumstance: The mother in this two-person household has had health issues that required monthly medication, but there is no insurance to cover the cost of the medication, which comes out of the family budget.

• Needs: Boy age 2 — wants remote-control cars. He wears size 2 clothes and he his shoe size is 6.

• Who’s helped: More than 220 families who’ve asked the Salvation Army to help make Christmas special.

• Donations: Clovis, can be dropped off at the CNJ, 521 Pile St., or mailed to P.O. Box 1689, Clovis, NM, 88102. Portales, can be dropped off at the PNT, 101 E. 1st St., or mailed to P.O. Box 848, Portales, NM, 88130. Envelopes should be clearly marked “Empty Stocking Fund.” Checks must be payable to The Salvation Army.

Contributions will be forwarded to the Salvation Army office, 317 E. Second St., Clovis, or gifts may be purchased for specific children under 12 years old by choosing an Angel tag off trees located at North Plains Mall, St. Clair Orthodontics and Hastings in Clovis.
