Last time out: The Arkadelphia, Ark.-based Reddies lost at home to Great American Conference rival Arkansas-Monticello 66-65 on Dec. 5. ENMU blew out Northern New Mexico 90-66 at home last Saturday, its fourth consecutive win at Greyhound Arena dating to the end of last season.
Of note: This is ENMU’s fourth neutral-site game of the season (1-2). … Henderson State’s loss to Monticello was its third in a row — all at home — by a total of four points, including a 75-74 decision to Lone Star Conference member Texas A&M-Commerce. Another home game last Saturday against Southern Arkansas was postponed due to weather. … The Reddies have lost four of six since a 3-0 start. All nine of their games have been decided by eight points or less. … Six-foot-9 junior F/C Reggie Murphy (22 points, 12 rebounds) and 6-8 junior F/C Ronald Lawson (12 points, 10 rebounds) had double-doubles for the Reddies against Monticello. Eight Reddies are listed at 6-8 or taller. … Four players average in double figures for Henderson State, led by 6-1 senior G Melvin Haynes (13.9 ppg). … The Hounds have three players averaging in double figures in senior G Rodney Blackmon (19.8 ppg), Devone Davis (14.7) and Rafael Love (14.3). … ENMU won the only previous meeting between the teams, an 89-77 decision on Nov. 28, 1992, at Canyon, Texas.
