• Children: 3

• Special circumstance: The mother of this family recently had a miscarriage and the family has incurred lawyer fees trying to get custody of the 3-year-old boy.

• Needs: Girl age 4 — wants anything dealing with Dora the Explorer and she wears size 4T clothes and her shoe size is 12; Boy age 1— wants cars or puzzles and he wears size 2T clothes and his shoe size is 7; Boy age 3 — wants anything dealing with Thomas the Tank Engine and he wears size 4 clothes and his shoe size is 11.

• Who’s helped: More than 220 families who’ve asked the Salvation Army to help make Christmas special.

• Donations: Clovis, can be dropped off at the CNJ, 521 Pile St., or mailed to P.O. Box 1689, Clovis, NM, 88102. Portales, can be dropped off at the PNT, 101 E. 1st St., or mailed to P.O. Box 848, Portales, NM, 88130. Envelopes should be clearly marked “Empty Stocking Fund.” Checks must be payable to The Salvation Army.

Contributions will be forwarded to the Salvation Army office, 317 E. Second St., Clovis, or gifts may be purchased for specific children under 12 years old by choosing an Angel tag off trees located at North Plains Mall, St. Clair Orthodontics and Hastings in Clovis.
