My Turn: My favorite Christmas movies (No. 10 counts) — Alisa Boswell

So this holiday season, my parents gave me the best Christmas present anyone could ask for. They saved me from countless hours of boredom.

There is always a certain amount of fun and excitement that comes with traveling for my job, but the amount of time spent in the car is not part of that excitement. It’s more part of what brings on the exhaustion and boredom.

Alisa-BoswellwebSo my parents sent me all seven Harry Potter books on a USB, so that I can listen to them as I drive. Hooray for no more boredom.

On the note of entertainment, I have been thinking about Christmas movies and was talking to someone about what their favorites would be, so I decided to make a list of my own.

My top 10 favorite holiday movies:

• “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”

• “A Charlie Brown Christmas”

• “White Christmas”

• “It’s a Wonderful Life”

• “The Christmas Toy”

• “Mickey’s Christmas Carol”

• “Elf”

• “Frosty the Snowman”

• “Miracle on 34th Street (the original)”

• “While You were Sleeping (it totally counts)”
